general info > AMABe a Sponsor

Sponsoring a child is one of the greatest gifts you can give. A high-level, English-language education not only opens incredible doors of opportunity for the sponsored student, but also has an effect on the community as a whole. At AMA, we believe that the gift of education has a far greater and longer-lasting impact than does any short-term charity.

Sponsorship is a long-term venture. It is not good for local children to have them attend a school like AMA for only a short period of time. AMA’s sponsorship program is structured to ensure a long-term commitment to the child. We want to see our sponsored kids graduate from AMA High School!

There are various ways to sponsor a child. First, you may contact the administration directly to contribute to the fund that ensures the ongoing education of a youngster already sponsored at the school. We’ll provide you with information about the child and keep you up to date on his or her progress. You may sponsor all or part of the child’s tuition.

If you know a particular child that you wish to send to school, then this form of sponsorship works much in the same way as regular enrollment does. The administration will work with you to ensure that the youngster meets admissions requirements and has a strong chance of success, and will keep both you and the child’s parents up to date. In this form of sponsorship, you assume full financial responsibility for the youngster, and we ask that only sponsors who intend to have an ongoing commitment to the student contribute in this fashion.
